  • Lakers Put Out The Fire In Phoenix

Los Angeles Lakers (25-11) vs. Phoenix Suns (14-19)
Lakers controlled the game. They kept it at their own pace and didn't let the Phoenix Suns run.

Kobe, Bynum and Odom were 7-for-9 and shot 60% as a team in the 1st quarter. Lakers had a 31-24 lead at the end of the first. Lamar also had a nice dunk that had Kobe off the bench clapping and smiling. Kobe actually looked happy for a change.

Suns took the lead in the 2nd quarter. Jared Dudley was on fire and ended the half with 19 points off the bench.

Lakers slowed down the pace and maintained the lead for the entire 2nd half.

Lamar Odom had a scary moment in the 4th quarter. He went up for a lay-up and was accidentally tripped by Mickael Pietrus on the way down injuring his elbow. It was a funny bone injury and he stayed on the court. (Even Khloe was worried)

Pau Gasol hasn't been playing to what he's capable of playing. He only had 6 points, 9 rebounds, but dished out 6 assists. He also came up with a huge block on Vince Carter with 10 seconds left in the game

Lamar Odom added a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

    Key Numbers:
    24 points for Kobe Bryant

    14 points for Andrew Bynum
12 3rd quarter points for Kobe Bryant
    10 rebounds for Lamar Odom
2 Technical Fouls (Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher)

Box Score: Lakers 99 Suns 95
