  • Lakers Defeat Thunder For 11th Straight Time At Home

    Lakers (31-12) vs. Thunder (27-14)
    The Lakers defeat the Thunder for the 11th straight time at the Staples Center, including playoffs.

    Important game for both teams, since they are battling for playoff position.

    Lakers took control of this game in the 2nd half, when the Lakers went on a nice 18-2 run. But the Thunder made a nice run at the end of the 3rd quarter to cut the lead to 6 points.

    With 3 minutes left in the game, Gasol hit a shot from the top of the key to extend the lead to 10 points. After the timeout, the Thunder responded with a 6-0 run and then went cold for the final 1:30 of the game.

    Kobe hit 4 free throws to seal the game after struggling from the line by missing 3 straight free throws.

    Russell Westbrook was still a problem for the guards. He scored 32 points and dished out 12 assists.

    The Thunder lost this game from the 3-point line. They went 2-for-22 from beyond the arc. They are the worst shooting team from the 3-point line.
