Yes, it's true. The 2011 NBA All-Star game will not feature a Memphis Grizzlies' player in any way. While Zach Randolph may have been snubbed, I'm still not very disappointed. All the All-Star game is nowadays is one long drawn out dunk fest.
Speaking of dunk fests, the Slam Dunk Contest should be very entertaining this year, mainly due to Blake Griffin's participation. When I think of the work "Dunk", I think of Blake Griffin. It will be fun to see what kind of crazy dunk he has come up with. Also, a sleeper in the Dunk Contest...Javale McGee.
Even though there are no Grizzlies in this years All-Star game, the mid-season break still brings hope. For the first time in what seems like forever, Memphis has a winning record halfway through the season. And only sitting a game out of 8th, a playoff appearance is a good possibility.
It should be a fun second half of the season.
