The Houston Rockets have mutually agreed to let Tracy McGrady leave the team while they work out either a trade or buyout. He has an expiring $23 million contract. Let the speculation begin on where he will end up.
If he gets traded, I think the Knicks will do everything they can to trade Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries and multiple draft picks and money to get that expiring contract. The Rockets would most likely want David Lee and Nate Robinson, but trading those 2 would be difficult since they are on qualifying contracts for this season.
If he gets waived, I can see him reuniting with his cousin Vince Carter and returning to the Orlando Magic where he became a superstar.
