Round 2 Matchup: (2) Oklahoma City Thunder vs. (3) Los Angeles Lakers

After a shocking 7 game series with the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers finally closed out the series. They will now face the #2 seed, Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round of the Western Conference. Let's see if anything happens with Metta World Peace and the Thunder since he's served his 7 game suspension already.


I'm not expecting the Lakers to make it out of the second round against the Thunder, so I won't be disappointed if they lose. The Thunder have the better team, I just don't want to see the Lakers quit like they did last season against the Dallas Mavericks. Hopefully they use their momentum from the Nuggets series for a deep run at another championship.

I'd love to say OKC should have a elbow waiting for Metta during this series....but I dont think the OKC players are even close to having that mindset....they've got WAY more class, which is awesome!!

At least game 2 is much closer. . . the Sessions/Blake backcourt timeshare has not been working out. For some reason World Peace took as many shot attempts as Pau Gasol, something is wrong there.

Looking like it's going to be a Spurs/Thunder WCF.

As long as Miami doesnt win the Finals, I can live with the Lakers getting eliminated. Thunder and Spurs are probably the only 2 teams that can beat Miami.
