PHOENIX (AP) -- Goran Dragic is coming back to Phoenix, where he is likely to take over point guard duties for the departed Steve Nash.

The Suns reached an agreement with the free agent on a four-year, $30 million contract that can rise to $34 million with incentives, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who requested anonymity because deals can't be signed until next week. The person said the fourth year is a player option.

I like Dragic but he is no Nash...

Suns just became mediocre for the next 8 years with this move. Its one thing to trade Nash and draft Marshall, but to give Dragic this money essentially makes Marshall a waste of a 1st round pick. You don't make lottery selections for backups.

Even worse for the Suns is that pick turned into Nikola Mirotic who is looking like an elite Euro prospect.
