The Washington Wizards have finalized their deal and have traded Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood, and Deshawn Stevenson to the Dallas Mavericks for Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton, and Quinton Ross.

I think they should have at least demanded Barea or a future first round pick.

But think of the good side of this deal, Josh Howard's contract for next season is a team option. For a team that may want to cash in on a free agent, the Wizards can trade Howard and get someone good in return and then the other team can just not pick up the option on Howard and get all that cap room. So they can still get something valuable for Howard come this summer.
