    SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- The San Antonio Spurs have signed veteran forward Tracy McGrady, adding depth and experience as the playoffs arrive.

    The 33-year-old McGrady is a seven-time NBA All-Star drafted ninth overall in 1997. In 938 career NBA games, McGrady has averaged 19.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.21 steals per game. In 44 playoff games, he has averaged 25.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.16 steals.

    He has played for Toronto, Orlando, Houston, the New York Knicks, Detroit and Atlanta in his career. He most recently played for Qingdao of the Chinese Basketball League, averaging 25 points and 7.2 rebounds in 29 games.

    Terms were not disclosed by the team Tuesday.

          Well The Spurs basically operate this way. They target older players but they make it work. That being said, I think ol Popavich will maximize his talents. Others words... a good pick up for them.

            Spurs are the NBA version of the Patriots. Most of the time they make it work (older vets), but every once in a while it doesn't work. Even then, it is at a minimal investment. Good risk to me.
            Favorite baseball players include: Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Kirby Puckett, Pete Rose, Tyler Colvin Mark Appel
            Favorite football players include: Peyton Manning, John Elway, Daunte Culpepper, Mike Alstott, Blake Bortles, and Dri Archer

                      Anyone remember what T-Mac did to the Spurs in 35 seconds when he was a Rocket? Maybe he can return the favor and pull off one of those as a member of the Spurs lol.
