  • Josh Howard tears ACL, out for season

WASHINGTON (AP)—The Washington Wizards said Tuesday that forward Josh Howard(notes) will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Howard was injured Monday night in Washington’s win over the Chicago Bulls, only his fourth game with the Wizards since being acquired from Dallas in a seven-player trade on Feb. 13. He collided with the Bulls’ Flip Murray(notes) with 4:23 to play in the first quarter and stayed on the floor for a minute before being helped off the court by two trainers.

Howard started three games for Washington and scored 14.5 points a game to help the Wizards go 3-1 since the deal, which sent starter Caron Butler(notes) to the Mavericks.

Do they even have the league minimum on their roster anymore? I know you need to dress at least 8 guys a game...

What's Wizards basketball without tragedy, disappointment, and injuries? lol

We got 10 guys active right now, only real positive thing is more time for Al Thornton to shine.

Kings waived Larry Hughes....you could always bring him back to Washington?

I actually think that's a good idea... he was well liked in Washington and was a good player at the time. (don't know what happened when he joined the Cavs lol.) Very strong defensive player, which the Wizards definitely need. He's also a buddy of Arenas, and maybe he can come in and calm down Arenas.

At least that means more shots and touches for Thornton, Foye, and Blatche.
