The Los Angeles Clippers have reached an agreement with forward-center Byron Mullens on a two-year, $2 million contract, Yahoo! Sports reported Saturday.
The deal includes a player option for the second year, according to the report.
The Clippers hope Mullens fills a need for a backup power forward or center behind Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. Most of the team's additions during an active offseason have been wing players.
The 7-foot Mullens is a four-year NBA veteran who played in 53 games for the Charlotte Bobcats last season, averaging a career-best 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds but shooting only 35.5 percent from the field and 31.7 percent from 3-point range.
