a couple more points that I just thought of for why AI is a HOFer

Assuming that the player graduates college and enters his rookie year at 22, he would be atleast 39 by the time he retired

Also, Iverson averaged 41 minutes a game in his career(4th all time), probably shaving off several years of his career.

I don't follow basketball much, but he was one of the better pure scorers of his time.. And the fact that a guy needs 17 GOOD years to be a HOFer is ridiculous, How many guys even play 17 years in a career anyway.. And if they do, I'd bet most of them are journey men

I am sick of this thinking of "He had 10 good years, then 4 ok years, but he is a HOFer" Thats a joke. Anyone who is in the HOF should have played atleast 17 years, and the only years they shouldnt have put up great #s is rookie year and last couple months they played

get past the last couple years that have been rough for him, and take a look at his career. he was one of the greatest pure scorers of all time, and he could score on pretty much anyone in the league. i understand most casual fans only know the failure that was AI in a detroit uni, but really? he's not a HOFer? come on
