  • Jordan calls owning Bobcats “dream come true”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)—A relaxed Michael Jordan broke into a wide smile as he sat at his desk Thursday night amid his whirlwind week of realizing a longtime goal of becoming an NBA owner.

It was a nightmare when he owned the team. I still remember how close the Wizards came to drafting Rodney White from Jordan's pressure. Thank goodness that didn't happen lol. Then there was the Rip trade, getting rid of an emerging Rip Hamilton, a young Bobby Simmons, for an aging Jerry Stackhouse.

As a player he was good, he still had some magic in the tank. Yet his criticism of surrounding players wasn't cool.

Hopefully he's smart enough to be a silent Owner and stay away from basketball operations. I'm also surprised that players think that just because you can play the game well means that you can run the team well.
