Sources: Nets reach agreements with Brook Lopez, Thaddeus Young
The Brooklyn Nets have reached agreements with free agent Thaddeus Young, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Young, 27, who opted out of $10.2 million owed him next season, will sign a four-year, $50 million deal with a player option, sources said.
Young can't officially sign their contracts until the NBA's free-agent moratorium ends on July 9.
Young averaged 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 76 games split between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Nets last season. The Nets acquired Young in a deal at the trade deadline that sent Kevin Garnett to Minnesota.
