Omer Asik and the New Orleans Pelicans are finalizing a new contract worth $60 million over five years.
Asik was acquired from the Houston Rockets last offseason in exchange for their 2015 first round pick.
The Pelicans have also expressed interest this offseason in Robin Lopez.
