I was back at the school today that I coaches wrestling from 2005-2010. I saw the banner on the wall of the 2007 Baseball Georgia State Championship. On that team, remember this is a HIGH school team, were the following players:
Brandon Cumpton - currently pitching for the Pirates
Rich Poythress - 1st baseman for Mariners and Marlins (made it to AAA with a cup of coffee in the bigs)
Nolan Belcher - 2x Ace of the South Carolina College National Champs
Man...I should have gone to more games!!
