Sources: Tony Wroten, Knicks finalizing deal
Free-agent guard Tony Wroten and the New York Knicks are finalizing agreement on a multi-year contract, league sources told The Vertical.
The deal is expected to be finalized Monday, sources said.
Wroten was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 24 and has remained in contact with the Knicks. New York has envisioned Wroten, 22, as a potential addition to bolster its backcourt behind Jose Calderon and Arron Afflalo.
Wroten is in his fourth NBA season and has averaged 11.1 points, three assists and 2.5 rebounds in 145 career games with Philadelphia and Memphis.
Wroten was the No. 25 overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft out of Washington.
