The Charlotte Hornets and point guard Brian Roberts have agreed to terms of a deal worth the veteran's minimum, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell first reported.
Roberts, 30, played for the Hornets last season, but was traded to the Miami Heat in the mid-season trade that brought Courtney Lee to Charlotte. A couple of days later, the Heat traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers, where he averaged 2.9 points and 0.8 assists in 6.5 minutes per game.
