        Excuse me if anyone thinks I'm talking out of place here...but.....

        whatever happened to PROVING your worth?

        Would like to see the League (ALL Sports!) put in a MAXIMUM for rookies for the first year. They prove themselves...then give them the $$$$$$ and a multi-year contract.

                I remember way back in 1994, #1 NBA Draft Pick Glenn Robinson refused to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks because of the contract they offered and what he wanted. He ended up signing something like a 10 year $68 million contract. The NBA implemented a salary cap structure for rookies a season later.
