The Carolina Panthers have found a potential boost for the NFL's worst offense by coming to terms with four-time Pro Bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey on a one-year deal, a person with knowledge of the decision said Thursday. Pettigrew is a star in the making and the other TE is a terrific receiver. Why would they need Shockey when Pettigrew is a better all around TE and Scheffter is nearly as good in the passing game.
