  • Former Steeler Lake to coach team's DBs (AP)

    Former Steelers safety and cornerback Carnell Lake has been hired as Pittsburgh's new defensive backs coach, the team announced on Monday. Lake retired from the NFL in 2001 following two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (1999-00) and one with the Baltimore Ravens (2001). He played for the Steelers from 1989-98.

      Any idea why Rod chose the Raiders over the Steelers? Does his family live out there since he was an NFL Network regular?

          That's the only thing that makes sense to me since Davis is difficult to work for and he loves Lebeau.

                Well normally when you get into coaching you have the ultiamte goal to become a head coach. The situation in Oakland is perfect for the fast track IMO

                  Very good point, I didn't think about that. I hope Jackson does well but even if does Davis will ditch him when he grows tired of him.
