The agent for Chicago Bears running back Chester Taylor was informed today that Taylor will be released.
This move was obvious considering Taylor was told he wasn't in the plans by Bears coach Lovie Smith earlier this week.
According to agent Ken Sarnoff, Bears personnel executive Kevin Turks called him this morning to let him know the NFC North club is moving on from Taylor.
A year ago, the former Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens running back was signed to a four-year, $12 million contract that included $7 million in guaranteed money.
The Bears are expected to go with Marion Barber behind starter Matt Forte.
