Eagles signed rookie DT Fletcher Cox, the No. 12 overall pick, to a four-year contract.
On draft day, Philadelphia surrendered the Nos. 15, 114, and 172 overall picks in order to move up for Cox. Those selections turned into DE Bruce Irvin, DT Jaye Howard, and CB Jeremy Lane on Seattle's end. Cox is being brought up to speed quickly in Philadelphia, moving all around Jim Washburn's defensive line. He'll compete for a starting job with Mike Patterson in training camp.
