Patriots OG Robert Gallery has retired from football.
Per ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Gallery "just didn't have it in camp." The much-maligned former tackle will finish his career with 103 starts. Though Gallery has been regarded as a bust as the No. 2 pick in the 2004 draft, he wound up emerging as one of the league's more underrated guards after being moved inside. Gallery never met expectations inherent for his draft position, but he certainly enjoyed a successful eight-year NFL career.
