The NFL moved the trade deadline back from 4 p.m. ET Tuesday to 4 p.m. ET Thursday as a result of Hurricane Sandy, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Additionally, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello tweeted that the change will also affect waivers for vested veterans.
Additionally, as we noted earlier, the weather is causing many teams to miss work this week because of the threat the storm poses to the East Coast.
With teams having difficulty working and communicating, trades would be hard to pull off. Additionally, if the league office isn't open, it would be impossible to finalize trades with no one available to accept the faxed paperwork.
