  • Report: Adrian Peterson's resisting-arrest charge dropped

When Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was in the middle of rehabbing his knee during the offseason, he found himself in a bit of trouble while hanging out in Houston, and he was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.

According to police, he was asked to leave a club, and he refused to do so while pushing an off-duty Houston officer. He eventually was arrested by three officers.

Four months later, we have news on the progress of the case against Peterson, via ESPN's Josina Anderson:

NFL.com confirmed through attorney Rusty Hardin's office that Peterson was talking about the resisting-arrest charge.

Peterson leads the league with 1,128 rushing yards.
