I think Palmer had a good situation in Cincinnati. Dalton stepped in right away and took them to the playoffs. His ego got in the way there. He could have been throwing to Aj green the last 2 yrs. The cards will take him but I think it'll be his last shot. He's got the receivers but I'm iffy on the running game.

Wouldn't you want out of Oakland and Cincy too? You can't hold that against him, especially if he thinks he'll get beat up in Oakland! I would think the Cardinals would give him some sense of stability and possibly incentive to stay humble. And if it doesn't work out in Arizona he can always come and be Romo's backup! But to be honest, I like Orton and his neck beard better than CP. Palmer always reminded me of the "pro" QB on The Replacements..

This guy wants out of every team he goes to. At least he hasn't threatened to retire this time.

Report: Carson Palmer wants out of Oakland

A source tells Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports that Carson Palmer's refusal to take a pay cut is based on a sense that he no longer wants to play for the Raiders.
The Raiders offered him a relatively minor cut from $13 million to $10 million, but Palmer's "preference" is to be given his outright release. Silver suggests Palmer would even prefer to be a backup elsewhere than play another down in Oakland. Silver does acknowledge the Cardinals are Palmer's "most logical suitor" once he's almost-inevitably released. If Palmer were to stay with the Raiders, "the quarterback suspects he is set up for failure." Said one source, "The fans hate the (2011 Palmer) trade and take it out on him. He's probably thinking that he'll get his ass kicked, physically and mentally." Per Silver, there's an "increasing sense" from both sides that a divorce is imminent.
