South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney has taken out a $5M total disability policy on himself.
The policy protects Clowney financially if he sustains a career-ending injury this season. It does not protect him against a loss of value. As of now, he's widely projected to go in the top-two of the 2014 draft, along with Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater. Clowney was a unanimous first-team All-American as a sophomore last year, recording 13.5 sacks and 23.5 tackles for a loss.
