  • Cooley retiring from NFL after nine seasons

Longtime Redskins TE Chris Cooley is retiring from football.
Cooley will join the Redskins' radio booth after spending his entire nine-year career with the team. A two-time Pro Bowler, Cooley retires with 429 catches for 4,711 yards and 33 touchdowns across 116 career games. His best season was 2008, where he turned in an 83/849/1 line. Cooley is only 31, but caught just nine passes across 13 games the past two seasons. He goes down as one of the better pass-catchers in Redskins history.
