Packers signed FS Morgan Burnett to a four-year, $24.75 million extension through 2017.
The deal includes $8.25 million guaranteed. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported late last week that the two sides were talking, so this news doesn't come as a huge surprise. Burnett turned 24 in January and was entering the final year of his rookie deal. Because Burnett was previously under contract for 2013 at $1.323 million, the new deal is essentially worth $26.073 million over five seasons, putting Burnett just outside the top-ten highest paid safeties. He racked up a career-high 123 tackles in 2012, grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 16 overall safety.
