Texans placed G/T David Quessenberry on the reserve/non-football illness list.
The team announced the second-year lineman has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer where the white blood cells divide faster than normal cells, or live longer than they are supposed to. Quessenberry had been battling fatigue and a cough for the past week. He thought he merely had a chest cold, but underwent tests before the jarring news was revealed. Quessenberry is being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. We wish the 23-year-old a full and speedy recovery.
