Bengals signed WLB Vontaze Burfict to a new four-year, $20 million contract through 2017.
Burfict was entering the final year of his three-year rookie deal, but was under team control through 2015. He gets a total of $7.6 million this season and is now one of the richest 4-3 outside 'backers in the league at $5 million annually. An undrafted gem out of Arizona State in 2012, Burfict has become a three-down difference maker for the Bengals. He's above-average, and near elite, both against the run and in coverage.
