ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher expects Kansas City to cut WR Dwayne Bowe if the two sides can't agree on a reduced contract.
Bowe, who turns 31 in September, just wrapped up the second season of a five-year, $56M contract. He's owed an absurd $11M in 2015 salary, but just $1.75M of that is guaranteed and the salary cap ramifications of a cut are minimal because of his one-game suspension in 2014. The cap-strapped Chiefs clearly can't afford to pay $11M for a wideout who caught zero touchdowns in 2014 and three in 2013. Bowe may balk at taking a paycut, instead looking to land with a more wideout-friendly quarterback and scheme.
