  • Free agent Jason Worilds says he's retiring

Free agent edge rusher Jason Worilds says he's retiring after five years in the NFL.
The No. 52 overall pick of the 2010 draft, Worilds is only 27, and was Rotoworld's No. 4 remaining free-agent edge rusher. "After much thought and consideration, I have chosen to step away from football as I have opted to pursue other interests," Worilds said. It's an absolute stunner for a player who generated 15.5 quarterback takedowns over the past two seasons. Worilds was Pro Football Focus' No. 11 3-4 outside linebacker in 2014. We don't doubt Worilds' current sincerity — he's not walking away due to a lack of interest — but when someone this young and talented retires, there's always a chance they'll change their mind in the not-too-distant future.
