Former Cardinals SS Adrian Wilson announced his retirement from football.
Wilson spent training camp time with the Patriots and Bears late in his career, but never played a snap for either team. He was a career Cardinal, and on Monday signed a one-day contract to retire as a member of the team. One of the NFL's premier box safeties in his heyday, Wilson earned five Pro Bowl trips and one first-team All-Pro berth. He finished his career with 27 interceptions, 16 forced fumbles, and 25 1/2 sacks. Wilson's bust is unlikely to be enshrined in Canton, but he's very much deserving of a place in the Cardinals' Ring of Honor.
