I honestly didn't think the Colts would have enough balls to cut him.

Some of the greats have been let to walk. This is sort of like that.. In this league I imagine with the $$ pressures we will see more of this as the HOF'ers get old and break down.. Montana, Namath, Franco, Emmitt , Favre all ended with other teams as you know and the teams that let them walk or cut were better for it. Those teams did not have 28 mil on the line in a roster bonus in tow and no indication he will even be ready.

Sounds like Peyton's about to be gone from Indy. Irsay popped off on twitter about how mad he was that Peyton didn't keep his thoughts 'in house', and there's already reports going around (no clue how legit though) the internet that they'll cut him before his bonus is due.
