LA Kings are Stanley Cup Champions!
First Championship in their 45 year history! The Los Angeles Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils 6-1 on Monday night to win the Stanley Cup.
Jonathan Quick was the most vaulable player in the series and was given the Conn Smythe Trophy. Dustin Brown became the second American born captain to ever win a Stanley Cup.
It was an amazing run for the Kings. They went 16-4 during the playoffs and became to the first team to ever lead 3-0 in all four playoff series. The Kings also became the first ever 8 seed to win a championship.
Darryl Sutter did an amazing job turning this team around when he took over in December of 2011.
The parade is scheduled for Thursday at noon. See you there!
