Goaltender Leclaire retires - Yahoo! Sports

Goaltender Pascal Leclaire announced his retirement Tuesday due to a recurring hip injury.

Leclaire, 30, was taken by the Columbus with the eighth overall pick of the 2001 NHL Draft, and spent parts of six seasons with the Blue Jackets. The Ottawa Senators acquired him in March 2009, but he appeared in just 48 games over the next two seasons.

He missed all of last season with hip issues.

In a 173-game career, Leclaire went 61-76-15 with a 2.89 goals-against average, a .904 save percentage and 10 shutouts. His best season came in 2007-08, when he went 24-17-6 and was second in the League with nine shutouts.
