Hi all,
I have a long time dilemma I've been sitting on as I get back into checking my high price cards for price adjustments. I have a 79 Topps Gretzky RC SGC 92 I bought a few years ago for $735. While most of my collection is personal, this was an investment purchase and I want to at some point max ROI.
My question is, knowing the perception of SGC vs. PSA when it comes to holder value, ideally I would like to convert it. Yet, early on I sent it in for a crossover to a 8.5 and PSA kicked it back. I could send it in again with a min request of 8 and still make some good money at some point. However, the chasm from 8 to 8.5 is pretty big $$ wise.
What would you do if it was your card? I'm not selling anytime soon so maybe I just let it cook longer in the SGC slab.
Thanks in advance!
