James Wisniewski Suspended For 8 Games

Anaheim Duck's defenseman James Wisniewski has been suspended for 8 games for his hit on Brent Seabrook. Check out the video below to see if you agree with the punishment.

how does wisniewski get 8 games and ovechkin only gets 2....

Cooke got nothing b/c of past precedence (Richards on Booth). But the NHL wanted to suspend him so bad. Ovie hits Campbell. They give him 2 games and fast track the head shots rule. The NHL/GMs announce that they are taking this seriously and are trying to get a rule in place by the playoffs. Even superstars will get suspended is the message to the players.

Wisneiwski clocks Seabrook. Which meant that the players were still not getting the message, so 8 games is set as an example.

Surprised that there wasn't a charging, roughing, AND elbowing penalty. Should have got tossed just like Ovie.

I'm sure the Ducks like the fact that Wisniewksi came to Perry's defense. But I'm sure Perry looking at the replay of the hit and seeing the suspension would tell Wisniewski, "Thanks, but don't do it again. It's not worth it for you and the other player".

Cooke on the other hand is probably sitting by himself in the dressing room/bar/plane. I'm sure someone asked him WTF he is doing. They're going to try to take out Crosby and/or Malkin, then all our hard work this season is going to go down the drain.

He got off light with just the fight with Thornton. There's going to be future retribution still to be paid. Boston isn't going to do anything b/c of the playoff race.
