  • Clint Bowyer's car failed post race inspection!!

Looks like Clint Bowyer had a little help in winning last weekends race. His car failed post race inspections--twice!! He has been docked 150 points and that takes him from 2nd in points down to 12th in points!! IMO the win should also be stripped and given to 2nd place. But, that's my opinion only.

    wow...what a shame.

He drove his butt off.....and his crew robs him of much needed points.

Yeah, unfortunately this time his crew screwed him royally. They have also been penalized heavily too. I think the crew chief was hit with a $100,000 fine too.

WOW, that pretty much takes him out of contention unless he runs top 5s for the other 9 races

ESPN was reporting this morning that the fine for the crew chief was $150,000....

How do you let the car be so out of "the norm"?....and it makes you wonder... if this had been Johnson, Gordon, Kyle Busch, Harvick....or what if Dale Jr. was involved....think his fine would have been so harsh?

It was NASCAR hub that reported the $100,000 fine. It was a preliminary report though. I think he got hammered so had because they were looking closely at his car/team from 2 or 3 weeks ago. The car was very questionable to NASCAR then.
