Dale jr at 12:1 a safe bet? LOL!!! Maybe for the house? Another good shot is Kenseth at 30:1

I'll put another $200 Monopoly money on him at 30:1

Burton at 25:1, and Allmendinger at 40:1 are worth a shot. Both Johnson, and Gordon at 12:1 are safe bets for me, but I'm gonna lay down an imaginary $500 bet down on Jamie McMurray at 10:1 for the win. I'm using Monopoly money, though! LOL!!

AJ at 40-1 is pretty shocking considering he's always run well in the 500. If I was a betting man (which I am, just not on racing), I'd put at least $5-$10 on AJ.

How Las Vegas Sees the Daytona 500

Here are the odds on key drivers:

The favorite to win: Harvick 6-1

    Kyle Busch 8-1
    Stewart 8-1

    McMurray 10-1 (last years winner)

Dale Jr 12-1 (considered a "safe" bet)
    Hamlin 12-1
Johnson 12-1 (considered a "safe" bet)
    Gordon 12-1

    Edwards 15-1
    Kurt Busch 15-1

    Martin 20-1
    Logano 20-1

    Burton 25-1

    Kenseth 30-1
    Kahne 30-1
    Biffle 30-1
    Newman 30-1

and the list of "why are you entering?" include:

    Allmendiger 40-1

    Keselowski 50-1

    Ambrose 60-1

    Bobby Labonte 100-1

and the long long long shot: David Gilliland 1000-1

If you're going to Vegas and you are betting on Harvick or one of the "safe" bets, why not throw a dollar or two on Gilliland? Worst case scenario you will loss a dollar or two.....on the "holy crap he won!" side you will end up with $1K or $2K.
