Strikeforce has released their Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem. Overeem was suppose to compete next in the Strikeforce Grand Prix Tournament on September 10th. He said he wouldnt be ready so he was replaced. Overeem has only fought twice for Strikeforce since winning the Heavyweight Title four years ago, and only defended the title once. He is currently also a K-1 Kickboxer when he is not fighting a MMA fight.
