The main event of UFC 139 saw the return of Dan Henderson as he beat Shogun Rua in what was called an amazing five round fight. The co-main event saw the UFC debut of Cung Le as he took a loss to Wanderlei Silva. Silva needed to win to save his UFC career. The other main match saw Urijah Faber beat Brian Bowles to get another shot at UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz at a future event.
