The main event of UFC 147 saw Rich Franklin beat Wanderlei Silva in the main event. With the loss, this may have been Wanderlei's last fight before he retires. This event was held in Brazil. The card changed a lot since the original main event was supposed to be Anderson Silva Vs Chael Sonnen before that got moved to UFC 148. The new main event was then supposed to be Vitor Belfort Vs Wanderlei Silva before Belfort got injured and had to be replaced with Franklin. This event also marked the first time in UFC's history that a full refund was offered to any ticket holder who no longer wanted to see the event live because of the constant changes.
