In order to make it 100% fair and random to everyone.......sell all 30 teams..randomize ALL OF THEM. People will do the normal trading afterwards to get the team you want...otherwise, your stuck with who you draw!

I see that as the most fair way to go....especially if Nats, Angles, Tx, Yanks (for some folks) etc. are going to be the HOT teams to get.....that way, one person cant buy up all the good teams, and NOBODY ends up buying the Astros....for example. Selling all 30 spots with equal chance to land a good team is the way to go.

I always thought it would be cool to have a total price for a case and find a market price per team. For example $1200 case - 30 teams = $40 per team. If someone is willing to pay $80 for the Nats, then all the other teams prices drop.

Hard to manage I guess... Or we could allow people to bid on each team until we reach the total cost per case and divide the unsold teams or teams that didn't reach the minimum threshold between the participants.

Or we could have people buy spots, randomly assign teams to those slots and allow trading / buying / selling

I actually joined Blowout Cards because it seems they case break frequently.

I'm down to try anything and throw some decent money at it

I think we should take the top 5 teams and for each team, put the 15 participants of the draft into random.org, randomize 3 times, and use the results as who has 1st option, who has 2nd option, and so on for each team. So say we do the Nationals. we take all participants in a list, randomize it 3 times, and the list comes back with me #1, TheBrett #2, ocanseco55 #3, and so on. I would have first choice of the Nats. I want Seattle, so I pass. TheBrett now has the Choice. The Next team would now only have 14 people on the list, because someone took the Nats.

15 People Get to choose a team in this way (after the top 5 teams are gone, I suspect everyone else will be able to pick their team), and the 15 leftover teams get randomly assigned, so everybody gets 2 teams.

Does that make sense? Or did I ramble too much?

if you get it figured out I'm in, I like the random team/slot idea. Seems that would be the fairest for the HOT teams. Payment up front before team assignment, that way no one could back out if they did'nt get the team they wanted. Trading of teams would be ok. bob
