I'd love to replace my Metallic Red Schwinn Stingray I got new in 1972. It was one of the best bikes I ever had. It was before the shifters came out on them, just single speed. But they are high dollar to get.

I have a photo around here somewhere of the day I got it. With my long hair and hippie -type clothes my mom used to make for me. I was only 7. If I find it, I'll post it for all to laugh at.

                  You guys are "young" - I was 21 and married to my 1st wife in 1972 (didn't work). Got married again in 1976, and it's still going (34 years). It has been sitting out in the shed, with two flat, and probably dry rotted tires, for a V - E - R - Y V - E - R - Y L - O - N - G T - I - M - E.

The good ole Schwinn Krate Bikes! I had a few of those myself growing up. My Dad and I both had bike shops and we both worked on our share of those.

Dad still dabbles in fixing up and collecting the old bikes. I mean when bikes were bikes. His favorite is the Schwinn Black Phantom.
