  • A Great Blaster, and a Terrible Blaster

I opened 2 blaster boxes today- Epix and Topps Chrome

Epix was a HUGE disappointment- the entire blaster yielded
    Jerry Hughes RC
Maurice Jones Drew Highlight Zone insert
    LOTS of base

The TC however, was awesome. I pulled the following

    RCs
    Tim Tebow
    Dez Bryant
    Jimmy Clausen
    Carlton Mitchell
    Montario Hardesty
    Derrick Morgan
    Taylor Mays
    Jerome Murphy
    Anthony Dixon
    Nate Allen
    Damian Williams
    Rodger Saffold
    Ben Tate
    Dezmon Briscoe
    Jermaine Cunningham
    Kevin Thomas
    Jermaine Gresham

    Damian Williams Bowman Chrome RC
    Tony Dorsett Rookie Reprint
    Namath/Sanchez Gridiron Lineage
    Smith/Jones Gridiron Lineage
    Aikman/Romo Gridiron Lineage

    Sean Lee XFractor RC
    Greg Jennings XFractor
    Cadillac Williams Refractor
    Jason Witten Refractor

Hmmm very interesting. You get just about as many rookies and refractors out of a hobby box as you do a blaster box. Looks like the only difference is the amount of inserts and hits that are added to the box.

      Congrats on the TC break!

yeah, the TC blasters are loaded. I was hoping for more with the Epix- Panini has been real good with their hobby products- but I wont be touching their retail stuff again- 20 bucks flushed down the toilet on that buy

To be completely honest, when I read your thread title and then saw the two boxes you purchased, my immediate thought process was you probably got hosed on the TC, as I thought Epix would probably have been pretty decent.

unfortunately not- the Epix hobby stuff i opened was also unimpressive. Ill be sticking to other products, and write this one off...

I've busted 5 Blaster's within the last few months and 4 had hits, including 2 Topps Chrome with RC Auto Refractor's /50. The one that didn't have any hits, EPIX, go figure, lol =)

Even the Hobby Epix boxes have been really bad this year. I like the holographic design on the autos and parallels, but that is about it.

I would be interested in the Dez Bryant RC and Sean Lee Xfractor and maybe the Tebow RC.

                LMK Thanks,

I am looking for: JJ Watt, Kawhi Leonard, George Springer, Carlos Correa, Jose Altuve, Panini Points...

Generally speaking, panini blasters are usually very bare( with the exception of 2010 Elite, which was loaded).

And Topps Chrome has great blasters every single year, they're always loaded.
