No its part of the card check them out there all like it on all the rookie recruits. When i first got it on i was thinking the same way so i pulled it out and felt it, its smooth. Then i got the 2nd one in and same thing its harder to see on the gabbert cause the stickers right where it is.

yep I have opened quite a few boxes of these and they are all like this. Must have been a printing flaw on the printer but my cards were mint.
