    ucffans TTM success

    I have been doing TTM for about 2 years now (I also did it in the early 90's when I was a teenager). I will share some of my recent successes as I get them.

    This is what I got this week:
    Mike Bilecki 5/5 (less than a week)
    John Olerud 2/2 (about 4 months)
    Herschel Walker 2/2 (about 1 month)
    Milt May 3/3 (about 3 months)
    Ricky Jordan 3/3 (about 2 weeks)
    Wes Chamberlain 2/2 (about 2 weeks)

    Last Week:
    Billy Sims 5/3 - added 2 coupons (about 3 weeks)
    Steve Watson 3/3 (about 3 weeks)
    Karl Mecklenberg 4/4 (about 3 weeks)
    Doug Widell 3/3 (about 2 weeks)
    Charlie Joiner 2/2 (about 2 weeks)
    Alonzo Highsmith 3/3 (about 3 weeks)
    Ozzie Newsome 2/2 (about 3 weeks)

      The first thing you do is decide who you are going to send to. As you can tell by my list, I send a lot of 80's baseball and football b/c they are retired and have time to sign, plus the cards are just worth a few dimes if I lose them in the mail.

      I personally like to send to people who I know are good at returning. I write a letter and include some cards. I also include an envelope (small one) inside with my address and name on it with a stamp. On the outside, I use a bigger envelope to the player. So, each TTM cost me 88 cents for the two stamps, one big envelope, and one small envelope.

                Sure - I have a few Chamberlain cards, but I will have to make sure he hasn't personalized all of them. He likes to personalize them.

                  Good ol' Stan Royer from the Cardinals came back with his MEGA sized glasses from the early 90's signed beautifully in black sharpie. 4/4 in about 3 weeks.

                      Retired players' addresses are posted in the ttm thread. You can also find active players' address, in care of their teams.

                        Pat Neshek came back today 3/3. The cool thing is that the address he uses during the offseason (his parents) is within 5 minutes of where my wife grew up! Anyone who doesn't know - he is the BEST in the business at signing TTM.

                          Frank Tanana came back today. I sent him 3 cards and he signed all 3 and included an autographed personal biblical biography card.
