Let me figure out how to use my new phone to get pictures on here and I can update a few I have gotten in the past few weeks. (I may have to wait until my 12 year old gets home from school since his technology knowledge has surpassed mine).

Favorite football players include: Peyton Manning, John Elway, Daunte Culpepper, Mike Alstott, Blake Bortles, and Dri Archer

Nice of his daughter to send this message - sorry to hear his health is poor.

            TTM from about 1986(?)

So, to start off with a whimper rather than a bang, here are two Reid Nichols TTM that I got in probably 1985 or 1986.

Dawgfan - the nice thing about TTM is that sometimes it is the common players that end up being your favorites. Post any you want to share!!

I decided to buy a cheap decent scanner to put more of these TTMs up (and maybe even a few in-person autographs from the 1980s too!). So, my next post provides the result of my two TTM attempts to the late Dan Quisenberry. While I grew up a Brewers fan, I respected Quiz greatly and believe that he has not gotten his due as being a great reliever.

Okay, couldn't resist posting this one. At some point in the mid-1980s, I sent a TTM request to Nolan Ryan through the Houston Astros. He didn't sign any of the cards, but I did get the little 3x5 photo below back from him. Whether it's real or not, well, I haven't the foggiest idea. But it sure does look cool.

One final one -- and I put out a challenge to all of you to beat this: I think this will be the earliest TTM autograph on this board.

You see, apparently my grandmother -- before she married my grandfather in 1934 -- was quite the Cubs baseball fan. So she wrote her favorite pitcher, Guy Bush, a letter and got the postcard below back from him. I date this photo from no later than 1934 because that was Bush's last year with the Chicago Cubs. Enjoy!

Nice cards guys. There's nothing like finding a nice stack in the mail box every day.

Gary Carter on a TCMA Postcard

My favorite player as a kid was Gary Carter. I was a catcher, and he was one of the best catchers in the 1980s, so that's why a kid from Wisconsin would like the Montreal/New York catcher. Anyway, in a request I sent TTM to him in New York, I got this beauty back.

Should you like to look at cards check out that link. It has been a long while sing I started that photobucket and I have never went back to add other sports either. I am just too lazy to get all this stuff scanned up.

Here are a few auto photo ones as well.

Gary Carter might be my fav photo, but that George Kell inscription makes it hard not to select as well. Pete Rose is my fav TTM baseball cards!

Received this one yesterday from Justin Morneau. Sent it to him in Pittsburgh last season. I thought it would be lost forever now that he's with the Rockies but I guess somehow he got ahold of it before leaving the Pirates and got it back to me. Very cool of him.
